  • Looking at the situation today for our generations children (and the next) is quite alarming. Shortage of supply and growing desire for home ownership has relentlessly driven house prices upward. (mine would be worth about £125,000 today … and that is regarded as cheap … first home level) To buy a typical 1930’s semi detattached house in the Midlands you are looking at £250,000 … and in London it would be a mind boggling two and a half times more as the average semi is now £626,348 !!!
